This article investigates the potential mediating role of work engagement/job burnout in the relationships\nof leader�s verbal communication style and job satisfaction. Results suggest that autocratic\nverbal communication style leads to low job satisfaction. To the contrary, supportive verbal\ncommunication style results in high job satisfaction. Furthermore, work engagement plays an intermediating\nrole between leader�s verbal communication style and job satisfaction. Although job\nburnout plays a mediation role between autocratic verbal communication style and job satisfaction,\nthe mechanism is non-existent between supportive verbal communication style and job satisfaction.\nThe article revealed the significance of leader�s verbal communication style, as well as\nthe diversities, which affected job satisfaction and thus influenced job performance....
Conflict is inevitable in every field of life due to argument, disagreement and difference of opinions among individuals. Conflict management is essential in order to avoid its negative impact on the performance of organization. This study aims at focusing on different styles for managing conflict which executives may prefer for resolving conflict either with public or with their subordinates. Dimensions of conflict studied are Disagreement and Argument while conflict management styles studied are Avoiding, Competing, Collaborating, Accommodating and Compromising. This paper focuses on all the conflict handling styles. Employees working as Deputy Assistant Directors (Sample size = 120) in National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) were selected by convenience sampling for collection of data through questionnaires (Thomas-Kilmann Instrument) and collected data was analyzed through descriptive statistics. Out of 120 questionnaires, 88 questionnaires were received from respondents and response rate can be said as 73%. Findings reveal that Deputy Assistant Directors prefer to use collaborating style followed by accommodating, compromising, avoiding and competing respectively for managing conflict. he study analyzed the role of interpersonal communication in client counseling environments, establishing emotional stability, and building lasting effective counselor-client relationship. Numerous studies reviewed indicate that the quality of interpersonal communication between counselors/psychologists and clients is significant in improving clients� self-esteem, emotional stability, interactional effectiveness, and responsive engagement. An extended literature review was conducted to analyze past communication patterns between counselors/psychologists and clients to evaluate the role of human communication in the quality of therapy and in the results achieved. \nBased on content analysis of clients-counselors interactions and relationships, review of related literature, and personal interviews and discussions, it was determined that effective interpersonal communication is critically important in achieving clients� high level of recovery, speedy compliance, and enhanced self-awareness. This study clearly establishes that communication is a significant part of a successful counseling practice. This article reported the findings of vision impact on the retention cognition of knowledge workers with the mediating role of human resource practices, organization culture, commitment, and communication. While the analysis was based on the data collected from the 125 knowledge workers of service providing organizations working in Islamabad, Pakistan. The study found that vision has positive significant impact on the knowledge workers retention cognition, while organization culture, and commitment had full mediation between vision and knowledge workers retention cognition, but human resource and communication had partial mediation between vision and knowledge workers retention cognition. For further elaborative analysis multiple serial mediation method was used, and it was found that all the mediators have significant mediating role between vision and retention cognition of knowledge workers. The focus of this study was to determine the impact of training and development on the employees�\nperformance and effectiveness at District Five Administration Office, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In this\nstudy we employed cross sectional institutional based quantitative research method. Data were\ncollected using Likert�s scale tool from 100 employees after selecting participants using systematic\nrandom sampling technique. Ninety-four complete questionnaires with a response rate of 94%\nwere considered during analysis. Training and development had positively correlated and claimed\nstatistically significant relationship with employee performance and effectiveness. It is recommended\nthat District Five Administration Office shall maintain providing employee training and\ndevelopment activities and ensure the participation of employees in planning, need or skill deficit\nidentification and evaluation of training and development programs....
